Dog agility involves the dog negotiating numerous obstacles, set out on a course. These obstacles can range from jumps to tunnels etc. Courses are set out in a manner that a dog could not complete them correctly without human direction. In competition, the handler must assess the course, decide on handling strategies, and direct the dog through the course, with precision and speed equally important.
Our agility classes take place at Trofarth, off the B5113 road out of Colwyn Bay (not far from the Holland Arms pub).
Dogs must be at least 12 months old and should have some basic obedience training, in particular a good recall to the owner. Any breed of dog can take part, small or large.
Sessions are run on the weekends and some evenings, depending upon the time of year and weather conditions.
Please contact us for more information if you are interested in agility.
